Everything you need to know about the new energy label standards

Better understanding to better choose.
Since March 2021, the energy label has evolved to offer consumers a clearer and more demanding reading of the energy performance of products. This change particularly concerns light sources, including LED bulbs.
WHAT'S CHANGING?
The old classes from A+++ to D are replaced by a simplified scale from A to G.
This readjustment aims to:
Raise energy efficiency criteria Encourage innovation Avoid confusion (particularly around old labels overloaded with “+++”) In concrete terms, a bulb formerly classified as A+ can now be found in class D - without being less efficient.
WHY THIS IS GOOD NEWS
This new scale recognizes the most technologically advanced products, while encouraging manufacturers to push the boundaries of efficiency. For you, it's the assurance of:
- Choose with complete transparency
- Understanding real-life performance
- Compare products more easily
